We will soon be bidding farewell to 2017 and greeting the new year with a night on the town, a house party, or just
a quiet night relaxing at home.
And after the nighttime celebrations come some community New Year’s Levees.
On New Year’s Day, the City of Belleville invites you to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre gymnasium from 11:30 until 1:30.
Mayor Taso Christopher and others will provide official greetings at noon.
A little later, mayor of Quinte West Jim Harrison will ring in the new year with a levee in council chambers at city hall. The Quinte West levee
goes from 2 until 4 o’clock. The official greeting will be held at 2:30.
Also between 2 and 4 on New Year’s Day will be the Municipality of Brighton’s levee. Mayor Mark Walas will speak at 2:15.
In Prince Edward County, the New Year’s Levee will come a few days into 2018.
Mayor Robert Quaiff and council will welcome everyone Sunday, January 7 at 1 p.m. at Macaulay Church in Picton.
