Belleville police arrested a couple of people for stealing yesterday.
A 32-year-old city man was charged with 2 counts of theft under $5,000 after security personnel
at a north end business detained a man for shoplifting just before noon yesterday.
An 18-year-old Belleville man was charged with theft and being unlawfully inside of a residence
after Christmas presents were being stolen at a Bleecker Avenue home early last evening.
Families continued their disagreements on Boxing Day. Belleville police report dealing with six
family disputes.
On Christmas Day, officers calmed down eight argumentative families.
