There was about $40,000 damage in an apartment fire in Quinte West Christmas morning.
Around 4:30 a.m., crews were called to 166 King Street in Trenton, near Dufferin Street, after fire broke out in one of the four units in the building.
Careless smoking is believed to be the cause of the fire.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.
One man was taken to hospital in Toronto, for treatment of life threatening burns.
