Ruth Ingersoll says 2017 was much busier for the Community Development Council of Quinte in comparison to the year before.
The Executive Director says she does not have the final numbers for this year but she knows for a fact they are looking at increases across the board.
She says it is a huge sign, especially in the rural areas, to see the increased use of their programs in Hastings and Prince Edward County.
Ingersoll says their mini farmers market in seven communities has really taken off and gives people the opportunity to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.
She says the community kitchen program has also been very well received.
