If you were to measure sheer distance, the Rochester Americans would be the closest geographically to the Belleville Senators. They are less than 100 kilometres.
The only problem is that Lake Ontario stands in the way.
The BSens made the four hour drive Tuesday, ahead of their match-up with the Amerks Wednesday evening.
Rochester sees themselves in third spot in the eastern conference, while the Senators are three games under 500.
Both teams have a win each in the head to head match-up.
