Prince Edward County council is going to express some interest in the now declared surplus property that is home to Pinecrest Memorial School.
During the public question period of Tuesday night’s meeting, council was asked to express an interest in the property to create a potential partnership for the purpose of seniors affordable housing and a community hub.
A business plan in being constructed and would be put together for presentation to council for the new year.
Council approved the motion to declare the school property surplus and for sale by the school board as well as to express interest in the property.
