Looking back on this year in Stirling-Rawdon, there’s no contest for the newsmaker of the year. It has to be the switch to OPP policing from a municipal police service.
Stirling-Rawdon Mayor Rodney Cooney says that while two Stirling-Rawdon officers who weren’t hired by the OPP are still on the municipality’s books, the switch to the OPP should be great news for local taxpayers in the years ahead.
Mayor Cooney says a house recently sold for $25,000 over the list price in Stirling-Rawdon.
