The Trenton Golden Hawks and the City of Quinte West have hosted some big events over the past few years.
The Northeast Conference Showcase, an exhibition game for the World Junior A Challenge, the Dudley Hewitt Cup and most recently the Eastern Canada Cup Challenge.

Director of Business Operations John McDonald says they are setting their sights even higher.
McDonald says their bid will have a lot going for it.

He adds their past experience with big events will prove to be an asset.

The application would begin in the new year, but an announcement on who is awarded the tournament is still months away.
