After the success of the Dudley Hewitt Cup and Eastern Canada Cup tournaments in Trenton, another major provincial hockey event is coming to the Duncan McDonald Community Garden
The Quinte West Minor Hockey Association will host the 2018 OMHA Juvenile Championship from April 12th to 15th, featuring five of the best teams of 18- and 19-year-olds, from across Ontario.
Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison says Quinte West is becoming a hub for sports tourism and has been making strides in many parks and recreation projects.
It’s going to cost between $45,000 and $50,000 to put on the event and organizers will be bringing a proposal to the Corporate and Financial Services committee in February, for a grant of $20,000, in both cash and in-kind support.
