This time of the year is especially busy but Canadian Blood Services wants you to remember to roll up your sleeves.
There is a blood donor clinic scheduled for January 1st at the Belleville Fish and Game Club and Territory Manager Debbi Barfoot says the need for blood is quite urgent.
She says there are currently 52 open appointments at the clinic that runs from 12 to 3 p.m.
Barfoot says this time of the year sees donations slow down not just because of the holidays but because of the weather.
Men can donate every 56 days and women can donate every 84 days.
