That’s the sound of the newest piece of equipment now available to Belleville Police.
The generosity of four business men from the Quinte region has added another piece of equipment to the police service’s fleet.
Dennis McCullough, Peter Smith, Ross McDougall and Mark Hanley all received citizen of honour awards from Police Chief Ron Gignac on Friday morning.
The men made a donation to the police service that allowed it to purchase a new motorcycle.
Gignac says these four men have the best interest of the community in mind.
He says the new motorcycle will allow officers to conduct more traffic operations, safety operations, distracted driving campaigns and better pedestrian, motorcycle and cyclist safety.
The new motorcycle brings their fleet to three available for use by officers.
