Tomorrow, December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The day is dedicated to the memory of the 14 young women who were killed in 1989 at l’Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
In what’s known as the “Montreal Massacre”, the women were killed simply because they were women.
There will be special events held tomorrow at The Core Arts and Cultural Centre on Pinnacle Street in downtown Belleville from 10 until 1.
The PECI Senior Drama Class will be performing their annual original collective creation “Pink or Blue?” an exploration of gender stereotypes and pervasive misogyny in our society. Their performance begins at 11:30.
