Quinte West Council has decided to ban parking along most of North Murray Street, from Sidney Street to Ireland Drive and also prohibit heavy vehicles on that stretch.
During a public input period last month the city received 28 comments about traffic congesting and parking issues in that area.
Director of Public Works Chris Angelo tells Quinte News, given the amount of re-construction work that’s been done in that area recently, it make sense to put the bans in place.
Angelo added now that council has passed the needed bylaws, signs have been ordered and they’ll be posted in the next couple of weeks.
