Local skaters Trennt Michaud and Chloe Choinard and their partners have qualified for the Skate Canada National Championships.
Competing in the Senior Pairs division for the first time, Michaud, of the Trenton Figure Skating Club and Evelyn Walsh finished second overall at the Skate Canada Challenge in Pierfonds Quebec. Michaud and Walsh moved up from the Junior Division which they won last year.

Stirling’s Chloe Choinard and her partner Mathieu Ostiguy placed 10th in the Junior Pairs Competition which qualifies them for the Nationals in Vancouver next month. The team paired up in April 2017 where 15 year old Choinard made the move to train in Montreal. They enjoyed two Junior Grand Prix events travelling to Latvia and Croatia in the fall.
