There’s some funny money floating around in this area and Belleville police are warning people to be on the lookout for it.
The so called “novelty notes” look real but are not. The notes lack serial numbers, security features and have Chinese lettering on them.
These notes might be used for training purposes and are also known as “play money”.
They usually come in twenty or one hundred dollar denominations.
