When it comes to planning in Prince Edward County, there are a few committees with a vested interest in what goes on.
Council decided on Tuesday night to make their Planning Advisory Committee a working group made up of three current committees.
Council decided the Agricultural Advisory Committee, Health Care Advisory Committee and the Heritage Advisory Committee would function in the capacity of a Planning Advisory Committee.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says this allows for some cohesiveness and it’s a good fit.
Commissioner of Engineering, Development and Works Robert McAuley told council passing this motion puts them in compliance with legislation put in place a year ago.
