The announcement of the future home of a health hub in Quinte West will not be this week after all.
Quinte News contacted the CEO of the Southeast LHIN Paul Huras, to find out if they have made a decision on a site, which has been much talked about over the past several weeks.
Huras says they are taking a few days longer to make a decision, to ensure the right one is made.
He says a few extra days or weeks is worth it, to totally understand the risks and benefits of both sites under consideration.
They are adjacent to Trenton Memorial Hospital, or at the Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre in downtown Trenton.
There is concern of contamination at the TMH site, however it is the preferred option for most.
