UPDATE – Nov.22 @ 10:00 a.m.: Quinte West OPP say a man who was pinned under a tow truck Tuesday afternoon has died.
The incident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Carr Road Tuesday, where the truck rolled backwards and trapped the man underneath.
Quinte West firefighters used air bags to lift the vehicle off the man and he was taken to hospital by Hastings Quinte EMS where he died of his injuries.
OPP have turned the case over to the Ministry of Labour which is now investigating.
The man’s name hasn’t been released.

An elderly man has been taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital, with firefighters performing CPR on the way, after he was pinned by a tow truck in Murray Ward, around 2:20 this afternoon.
Quinte West OPP are now on scene investigating.
Fire Chief John Whelan says it’s still not clear exactly what happened, but the truck was parked on a hill and trapped the man underneath after it rolled backwards.
Firefighters used air bags to lift the vehicle off the man and he was talking to rescuers, before going into cardiac arrest in the ambulance.
His name was not given out and more information will be released as it becomes available.
