The City of Belleville’s Facade Improvement Program for downtown businesses has been a hit.
Karen Poste, the city’s Manager of Economic Initiatives, told the annual meeting of the BDIA last night that since 2002, 70 businesses in Belleville’s downtown have taken advantage of the Facade Improvement Program.
Over half a million dollars has been granted to those businesses by city council, and including the businesses’ investment, over 2 million dollars worth of projects have been completed to date.
