The Belleville Senators flew to Charlotte North Carolina, but Thomas Chabot was not on the flight Monday.
Chabot, the highly anticipated d-man got the call from the Ottawa Senators that he would be needed elsewhere, following the injury to Mark Borowiecki Sunday night.
Chabot is with Ottawa, as they prepare to take on the Washington Capitals on the road Wednesday.
He talked with Quinte News at the airport in Toronto, ahead of departure.
He says the start of the season has been busy and it’s been an adjustment.
Ben Harpur was also recalled last week, following the injury to Chris Wideman.
The Belleville Senators begin back to back games in Charlotte Tuesday night at 7 p.m., 6:50 p.m. on CJBQ for Eastern Overhead Doors and Deerhaven Farm and Garden.
They also have a pair of weekend games (Saturday and Sunday) in Toronto against the Marlies.
