South East LHIN CEO Paul Huras made a brief presentation to council in Brighton on Monday night about the status of getting a lab back in the city.
Brighton lost their lab in 2015 and residents have had to travel to Cobourg or Belleville since to get blood drawn or other routine lab work.
Mayor Mark Walas asked Huras to appear in front of council to explain their options.
Dr. Huras said they do have a few options and according to Walas, space seems to be the big one.
Huras told council the LHIN has very little to do with labs as they are private sector.
