Quinte West council will decide whether or not to buy some waterfront property at its meeting Monday night.
It’s believed the property along the Trent River at 315 Front Street in Trenton would be important for economic development in the future.
The property contains a wood-frame house that used to house a boat rental and fishing supply business.
The house is one of three on that stretch of Front Street with the rest being greenbelt.
If council votes in favour, it will pay $224,000 for the property.
