The roof of city hall in Prince Edward County is getting set to undergo some major work, starting Monday.
A new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system is being installed at Shire Hall.
Earlier this year, council awarded the tender to Hamilton Smith of Belleville, at a cost of $255,000.
The current system was installed in 1982 and officials say it has surpassed its useful lifespan.
A new skylight and flat roof is also part of the work.
The work will go from Monday until Friday December 1st, which will close one lane of Main Street.
Parking spaces will also be lost around the building.
