A “Christmas Miracle” is needed for a local business to stay open.
Belleville Pitch and Hit on Sidney Street in the Hilden Square is potentially closing its doors by December 1st if there is not enough support raised.
Co-owners Sofija Reston and her partner Merl Riehl, the vice president of Belleville Minor Baseball, recently started a Go Fund Me account for the public to help them raise $10,000.
So far only $225 has been raised.
Reston says they started this endeavor for the young kids in the community who were looking to train and says it’s been difficult to earn support from sponsors.
Pitch and Hit includes six fully automated batting cages – the only one of its kind in Ontario, a tee area and a pitching lane.
Reston explains the difficulty of getting people returning during the winter months.
