November 15th was National Philanthropy Day and there was no better way to spend it than celebrating those who work tirelessly to make our communities better.
In Kingston on Wednesday night, Kevin Gale and Herb Pliwischkies of RE/MAX Quinte took home the award in the category of Outstanding Corporation/Organization with 99 or Fewer Employees.
The two, called the Dynamic Duo were nominated by the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Gale says the recognition is nice, but not the reason for being involved.
Lanny and Catharine Huff, owners of Huff Estates Winery and other enterprises, were also honoured, taking home the Award for Outstanding Philanthropist.
