An important piece has been added to transportation availabilities in the City of Quinte West.
Eric Camolese, representing people concerned with VIA Rail service to the Trenton Junction told Quinte West council
yesterday (Monday) that train # 643 would be stopping in Trenton every Saturday and Sunday around noon.
Until last weekend, the only train stopping in Trenton was late in the evening.
Camolese said the group’s priority now is to get VIA Rail to have a train stopping at Trenton early weekday mornings
heading east to Ottawa and Montreal.
