A group of citizens who want to stop school closures in the region is going to drop a petition off to MPP Todd Smith this week.
Smith says he is expecting a visit from representatives of Rural Schools Matter, who are concerned that the closures slated for Quinte, are not the right ones.
He says he will make their petition known in Queen’s Park.
Smith believes trustees announced the closures, without all the information before them.
