A man suffered minor injuries during an altercation with Belleville police officers yesterday afternoon.
Police responded to an apartment on Alexander Street just before 2 o’clock where two brothers had been fighting.
Investigation revealed one of the men was wanted by city police on possession of stolen property and breach of probation charges.
During the arrest, the man head-butted an officer in the chest.
The 31-year-old now faces an additional charge of assaulting a police officer.
He appears for a bail hearing today. The officer was not injured.
