Led by Michael Silveri’s four points (goal, three assists) and a Caleb Boman hat trick, the Trenton Golden Hawks gave the Whitby Fury a 7-0 whitewashing Saturday afternoon.
Mac Lewis, Mark Tassone and Rex Moe also scored for Trenton. Shaun Bily chipped in with three assists.
Four of Trenton’s goals came on the powerplay.
James Povall stopped all 26 shots he faced for the shutout and his first win as a Golden Hawk.
Trenton visits Cobourg on Monday night at 7 p.m. CJBQ is on the air for Need-A-Car starting at 6:50 p.m.
