A supportive housing complex containing 40 apartments would receive some financial breaks from the City of Quinte West if it’s built in the city.
Quinte West’s Corporate Finance Committee recommended council approve lowering the tax rate for the project and waiving fees for building permits, cash in lieu of parkland, and water/sewer hookup.
Waiving those fees means Hastings County would face close to $60,000 less in costs to build in Quinte West.
Belleville is also being considered for the project.
