A new co-working space in Cobourg is being dubbed as a major milestone for Northumberland County’s business community.
The Business and Entrepreneurship Centre officially opened “The Factory” this week, which includes work space, meeting areas, high speed internet and parking, for entrepreneurs to help cut operational costs and expose them to a network of like-minded professionals and grow their businesses.
The members-only community, set up in part of Northumberland County’s building at 600 William Street, covers over 1,000 square feet, with 30 individual spaces and 14 seasonal spaces and is geared towards people who typically work from home, like freelancers, independent contractors and start-ups.
Twenty-one members have already registered, at an annual fee of $59.99, with up to 40 professionals forecast for 2018.
