Tonight, something totally different for the Belleville Senators. A home game.
After 9 regular season and 2 exhibition contests in 7 different cities, Belleville’s American Hockey League team will play in front of a sell-out crowd at the refurbished Yardmen Arena tonight. Tampa Bay’s affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch will be here.
Belleville goaltender Danny Taylor is looking forward to it.
Belleville survived the extended road trip nicely with a 4-4-0-1 record. Those 4 wins came in their last 6 games including a 3-2 overtime victory in Winnipeg on Saturday. Twenty-year-old Filip Chlapik of the Czech Republic scored the winning goal which was his first in professional hockey. Chlapik is also looking forward to finally playing at home.
