This year’s Children’s Foundation Guardian Angels are the type of people who describe themselves as simply putting their heads down, rolling their sleeves up and getting to work.
Carmen and Darrell Smith have been named the 2018 Guardian Angels for the seventeenth annual gala.
Darrell says they are very humbled by this recognition.
Carmen says when they were told they were being named this year’s Guardian Angels, she didn’t believe it.
Connie Reid, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation, told those in attendance she couldn’t possibly list off everything Carmen and Darrell Smith were involved in because the list was extensive.
The couple is involved with various groups, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation, the United Way of Quinte and more.
This year’s Guardian Angel Gala is set for March 3. The venue is to be determined.
