The Mayor of Prince Edward County will run in next June’s provincial election as the first ever
Liberal candidate for the new Bay of Quinte riding.
Mayor Robert Quaiff said late yesterday that he’d worked closely on many issues locally, regionally, and with the current Liberal government at Queen’s Park.
The mayor said he’s impressed with the government’s plans for Ontario and its focus on helping those less well off than others.
He will continue his duties as mayor until the official election of the provincial election campaign.
The Bay of Quinte Liberals have a nomination meeting Saturday, November 18 at 2 o’clock at the Wellington Community Centre at
the Essroc arena.
