The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between October 30th, 2017 at 5 a.m. and October 31st, 2017 at 5 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
On October 30th, 2017, at 12:34 p.m. officers attended at the scene of a two-car accident on Sidney Street at Bell Blvd. One of the cars was towed from the scene. One of the drivers was charged with following too closely. There were no reported injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation into a hit-and-run accident from October 29th at the intersection of Dundas Street East at Haig Road. The vehicle that fled the scene is described as a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck – brown or tan in colour. Damage will be on the left rear corner of the truck. Mischief
On October 30th, 2017, at 1:43 p.m. officers attended on John Street in relation to a complaint of a damaged door. A 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with Mischief under $5000. He will appear in court in November to answer to the charge.
Arrest on warrant
On October 30th, 2017, at 11:55 p.m. a 21-year-old Quinte West man was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for the offence of break, enter and theft. He was held for a bail hearing on October 31st, 2017.
