Officials with the City of Belleville have granted occupancy for the newly renovated Yardmen Arena.
On Monday, contractors, building officials and city staff toured the facility, just over 48 hours ahead of puck drop Wednesday.
Chief Building Official Ted Marecak signed off on the work, stating it was no longer a construction site.
New seating, dressing rooms, refrigeration unit, smaller ice surface, VIP suites and press box, elevator, fan zone and parking were all part of the upgrades, which began in December.
There will still be some work to continue after puck drop, but it will only be in portions of the facility.
