A delegation from Ontario, including a representative from the Quinte area, travelled to Germany recently on a mission to attract food companies to the area.
Quinte Economic Development Commission Executive Director Chris King told the Commission meeting Tuesday it was important to meet the European companies.
He says the companies overseas also realize that locating in Canada gives them access to the large North American market.
King says the delegation, which represented 14 areas of Ontario, also met with companies at Canada House in London, England.
