You may see a larger than normal police presence Tuesday, as the Quinte Region Traffic Coalition monitors the roads.
This year’s speeding campaign is called “Stop Making Excuses for Speeding”.
Belleville Police Operations Inspector Sherri Meeks says speeding never goes away.
Quinte West OPP Detachment Commander Christine Reive says speeding is one of the leading causes of death in the province.
Local OPP detachments, CN Police, Tyendinaga and Belleville Police, and the Military Police have teamed up with the Hastings Prince Edward Health Unit.
