The Loyalist Lancers have named Rachelle Malette of the women’s rugby team as their “Athlete of the Week”.
Going into their final regular season tournament, Loyalist needed a good showing to make the playoffs. Malette led the way with her experience, leadership and solid play offensively and defensively. The Lancers were 2-1 in the tournament to advance to the playoffs on November 4th.
This is Loyalist’s first season competing in the O.C.A.A. Rugby 7s program.
