With more than a touch of irony, a march and rally protesting industrial wind turbines planned for downtown Picton tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon could be disrupted by damaging winds.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning that high winds, with damaging gusts are possible in the Quinte region and around Kingston.
It’s expected there will be gusts of 70 to 80 kmh, with occasional gusts as high as 90 kmh, especially along Lake Ontario.
Winds are expected to ease off tomorrow night.
