Another weekend, another old out of service barn has burned down in Prince Edward County.
Firefighters were called out shortly after midnight Saturday morning to a fully engulfed barn fire
on County Road 13, just west of Black Creek.
The barn contained some hay and not much else. No other structures were damaged and there
were no injuries.
The fire was out by 2 o’clock this morning, although firefighters remain on scene putting out hot spots.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been notified.
Last weekend, an abandoned old barn burned down along Highway 49, near Bethesda Road.
OPP determined that the cause of that fire was suspicious.
