Libraries across Northumberland-Quinte West will benefit from some provincial funding to upgrade various digital services.
MPP Lou Rinaldi announced a total of $44,768 to libraries across the riding to improve access to resources like Wi-Fi hot spots, computers, printers, e-readers and technology education programs.
The Quinte West Public Library is getting the biggest chunk of cash at a little more than $8,100 while the Brighton Library will get just under $5,000.
Here’s a full breakdown of the funding from the Improving Library Digital Services Fund:
- Alderville First Nation Public Library and Resource Centre – $3,000
- Alnwick Haldimand Township Public Library – $6,069
- Brighton Public Library Board – $4,767
- Cobourg Public Library – $6,911
- Cramahe Township Public Library Board – $5,219
- Port Hope Public Library Board – $4,025
- Quinte West Public Library – $8,106
- Trent Hills Public Library Board – $6,671
