Belleville Police were involved in a scuffle with a confrontational citizen Saturday.
Shortly after 6 a.m., officers answered to a disturbance call at an east end apartment.
While speaking to one of the involved parties, another became confrontational towards police and was arrested.
In the ensuing scuffle, an officer suffered a minor injury.
25 year old Chantel Jouan of Belleville was arrested and charged with assaulting police and resisting arrest.
She was released with a November court date.
