Charges have been laid after a crash on Highway 2 in Quinte West this morning.
A black Nissan was travelling westbound around 8:00 a.m. and had slowed down to allow another car to turn onto Boulton Road.
As the Nissan slowed, a GMC Sierra pick up truck hit it from behind, causing significant damage and the 61 year-old driver of the Nissan had to be extricated by Quinte West Firefighters.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Highway Traffic Act charges have been laid against the 67 year-old driver of the truck, a man from Consecon, whose name was not released.
