Contractors are just about set to begin demolition and creation of a brand new swing bridge along the Trent Severn Waterway.
Starting Monday, the Brighton Road Swing Bridge will officially close.
The current bridge will be deconstructed, with a new one expected to open next May.
The new bridge will continue to be a swing bridge, but will be two lanes, handle highway loads and provide a pedestrian walkway.
There will be no access through the construction zone, or around the canal.
The park facilities will also be closed for the duration of the project.
