Creed Jones recorded his first career shutout, keeping all 38 North York Ranger shots out of the goal in a 4-0 Wellington Dukes victory.
Teddy McGeen led the Dukes with a goal and an assist and Zach Uens, Colin Doyle, Alec Tiley also scored for Wellington.
Mitchell Martan added two assists, while single assists went Declan Carlile, Andrew Rinaldi and Graeme McCrory.
Final shots favoured North York 38-33.
The Dukes will carry their four game-winning streak into another home game Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. versus the Aurora Tigers.
Cougars 1 Golden Hawks 0
The Trenton Golden Hawks offence was completely shut down in a 1-0 loss on home ice to the Cobourg Cougars.
The defending RBC Cup champions outshot the two-time defending Dudley Hewitt Cup Champions 23-22 in a strong defensive effort.
Carson Poulin made 22 saves in a losing cause.
Trenton has a full week off before they head on the road to Markham next Friday to battle the Royals.
Raiders 4 Pirates 1
The Napanee Raiders earned a hard fought 4-1 victory over the Picton Pirates in Jr. C action.
The Raiders spotted Picton their goal before they notched four unanswered from Griffin Conger, Josh Murphy, Riley Steeves and Ryan Casselman. Sebastian Kilcommons added two assists.
Justin Arnold scored Picton’s lone goal.
Both goaltenders were busy, with Jeremy Piazzi turn aside 44 of 45 Picton shots, while Aaron Young made 49 saves on 52 shots.
The Raiders are back in action Saturday night at 7:30 in Port Hope, while the Pirates travel to Gananoque Sunday night.
