The Wellington Dukes are proving to be excellent road warriors. Mitchell Martan scored the only goal at 14:37 of the third period and Jonah Capriotti made it stand up with 35 saves as the Dukes were 1-0 winners in Newmarket. Capriotti says he was seeing the puck well.
Despite the win, Dukes head coach Scott McRory says his team has to be better.

In Junior “C” play, Jordan Cannons’s hat trick paced the Picton Pirates over the Campbellford Rebels 13-0. Noah Brant added 2 goals and 2 assists and Nick Hoey had 5 points. The Pirates are at Napanee tonight.
