Unionized inside/outside workers with Prince Edward County have a new four-year collective agreement.
The County and CUPE Local 2275 renewed the deal earlier this week, with council approving the contract at its meeting on Tuesday night, covering 95 full-time and 23 part-time employees.
The deal is back-dated to April of 2016 and includes wage increases of 1.5% from last year, 1.7% this year and 1.8% and 1.9% for 2018 and 2019 respectively.
It also includes lump-sum increases of 75 cents per hour from April 2016 and an additional 50 cents per hour in 2019.
Workers will also receive improvements to benefits for paramedical coverage, which brings local workers into a comparable range with other employee groups in the municipality.
