Quinte Health Care welcomed four new members to their Board of Directors on Tuesday night.
At the meeting at Quinte West City Hall, Vice Chair Stuart Wright announced Jessica Anderson, Kimberley Woodhouse, Peter Dudding and Peggy Payne to the board.
Vice-Chair Stuart Wright says the calibre of candidates they chose was truly amazing.

Jessica Anderson
Anderson is the Executive Director of North Hastings Children’s Services (NHCS). As the central provider of licensed educational, social, family and childcare services to 7 municipalities, NHCS partners with over 20 agencies to enhance the wellbeing of children and families. Ms. Anderson has a professional background in corporate, government and non-profit agencies, and a proven track-record in organizational change, program integrity, operational effectiveness, finance, legislative compliance, regulations, policies and reporting. She is also a key member of several health and family advisory boards, including: the North Hastings Family Health Team Board, Quinte Health Care Advisory Council; Loyalist College Early Childhood Education Advisory Board; Hastings and Prince Edward (HPE) Children and Youth Services Network Planning Table; HPE Community Indicators and Measures Committee; and HPE Indigenous Children and Youth Services Planning Table.
Kimberly Woodhouse
Dr. Kimberly A. Woodhouse, B.Eng. (Chemical Engineering), McGill University and Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering), McMaster University, joined Queen’s University in 2007 and is a Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
In addition to her role as a Professor, for the past 10 years Dr. Woodhouse served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University. Prior to joining Queen’s, she held several positions at the University of Toronto, including a Professorship in Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry and as the Associate Director of the Advanced Regenerative Tissue Engineering Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, a multi-institutional centre to bring basic scientists, engineers and clinicians together to develop novel constructs for soft tissue engineering. Dr. Woodhouse is a Professional Engineer and has extensive international experience in management and educational consulting, she holds several patents, and co-founded a biotechnology company. In addition to her academic background, Dr. Woodhouse has almost ten years of experience in private sector manufacturing.
Dr. Woodhouse currently serves on the Ontario Research Fund Advisory Board. She has received a number of awards, including the Medal for Excellence in Engineering Education from Engineers Canada, the Premier’s Research Excellence Award and the Professional Engineers Ontario Engineering Medal, “in recognition of valuable contributions made while furthering the technical advancement of the engineering profession in Ontario and its application to the public welfare”. In May 2008, Dr. Woodhouse was named a Fellow of the Society of Biomaterials and in June 2008, a Fellow to the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
Peggy Payne
Peggy Payne has 33 years’ experience in education, mainly with the Toronto District School Board but also in England and Australia. She has worked as a teacher, a Special Education Consultant, Vice Principal and Principal. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Education from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education. Her governance experience includes 5 years with the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, serving as President and Past President and 2 years on the Board of the PECMH Foundation. Peggy and her husband live in Picton and are involved in volunteer work in the county.
Peter Dudding
Peter is a well-recognized leader in health and social services who has worked across Canada and internationally. During the past five years he has been working in Nunavut and Northwest Territories. His extensive experience includes senior management, board leadership and consulting with governments and community based organizations across Canada.
Peter is a tireless rights advocate and passionately promotes the equity of opportunity in society to ensure that rights of excluded and vulnerable people are respected and upheld. Throughout his career he has championed legislation, policy and services that ensure health and well-being.
He is the proud recipient of two Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee medals (2002 and 2012) for recognition of his service to children, youth and families. Peter resides in Picton, Prince Edward County since October 2015 with his wife Janine. He has Master of Social Work (1975) and Master of Management (2002) degrees.
