The value of construction in the City of Belleville so far this year is a little lower than for the same period in 2016.
To the end of August, just over $73 million worth of building permits were issued in Belleville.
Last year for the same eight month period, permits issued were valued at over $79 million.
Meanwhile, last month 75 building permits were issued at a value of almost $6.5 million.
In August of 2016, there were also 75 permits issued, but with a value of just over $8 million.
